The Narrow Road
This Sunday we gather for my last Sunday with Ignite. It has been an incredible journey. I cannot thank all of the people of First Grand enough for walking with my family and I for this journey. We have done such great work and I am so grateful for how God has been at work through us.
This Sunday we gather for one combined Ignite service in the Sanctuary. I am excited to preach about the end of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. How we are called to walk the narrow road of faith and follow the call of Jesus’ most powerful teachings. I know it will be a moving and blessed service. Join us Sunday at 11 am both online or in person!
God Bless,
Travis
Fear not?
Do you struggle with fear? I rarely think of myself being afraid. When I think of fear I think of a person huddling in a corner in complete terror, or someone shielding their face during a scary movie. But, what if fear is something different? What if fear is every time we worry? What if fear is the root of our anxiety? What if fear is something we struggle with every single day? This Sunday we talk about fear, and listen to what Jesus has to say about fear. Join us Sunday at 11 am both online or in person!
God Bless,

Practicing Faith
What habits do you do every day? Do you eat the same meal, follow the same ritual? Do you pray every day? We all have little rituals in our life. As Christians, we are invited to include faith-forming practices as part of those daily acts. We are called to pray, read the Bible, fast, and so much more. But why do we do these? Do we do them so we can call ourselves good or do we do them to grow closer to God? How can these practices not just help our lives, but change our lives? I hope you will join us Sunday at 11 on Facebook live or in-person to hear more! See you Sunday!
God Bless,
Travis
Being perfect…
Have you messed up yet today? Did you wake up grumpy? What about yesterday? Were you short with someone or rude to a customer service rep? We all have those moments we mess up. This weekend I wasn’t paying attention and ran a red light! So what are we supposed to do with this scripture from Matthew 5, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
That sounds impossible! Does Jesus mean we are supposed to live without sin, or does he mean something else? This Sunday we continue our series on the Kingdom as we follow the sermon on the mount. I hope you will join us to hear the freedom and power of this passage. Join us Sunday at 11 on Facebook live or in person! See you Sunday!
God Bless,
Travis
